if a .jws source file contains a package a FNF exception is thrown

if myfile.jws is located at /webapps/axis/myfile.jws and the myfile.jws contains a package com.mystuff the myfile.class file is compiled to /jwsclasses/com/mystuff/myfile.class

however accessing it with http://localhost:8080/axis/myfile.jws?wsdl yields a file not found exception 

if you locate the myfile.jws at /webapps/axis/com/mystuff/myfile.jws then the myfile.class shows up at /jwsclasses/com/mystuff/com/mystuff/myfile.class

with no improvement in access.
