DO NOT REPLY [Bug 48938] New: [error] (111)Connection refused: proxy

https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=48938

           Summary: [error] (111)Connection refused: proxy
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.0.63
          Platform: HP
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_proxy
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: craig_bogovich@hphc.org

I apologize if I am using this forum inappropriately. We are new to Apache and
seeing the following error from time to time in our application:

Bad Gateway
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.

The error seems to correspond to the following messages found in the apache
error logs:

[error] (111)Connection refused: proxy: HTTP.

Where can I find more information on error# 111?

It comes from your os, the manual for the connect subroutine is probably the
place to go.

Since this bugzilla is for suspected defects in Apache HTTP Server, for further
help, try the Apache HTTP Server users discussion list:
