[jira] [Created] (MAPREDUCE-4677) Text IF/OF separator character configuration should support passing non-XML-serializable characters

Harsh J created MAPREDUCE-4677:
----------------------------------

Summary: Text IF/OF separator character configuration should support passing non-XML-serializable characters
                 Key: MAPREDUCE-4677
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAPREDUCE-4677
             Project: Hadoop Map/Reduce
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: client
    Affects Versions: 2.0.0-alpha
            Reporter: Harsh J
            Assignee: Harsh J
            Priority: Minor

Since HADOOP-7542 can't be done to easily enable special characters, we need a base64 way of emitting set characters for both input delimiters and output delimiters (for TextInputFormat and TextOutputFormat) similar to HBASE-3623.
