Planned release for 4.0.0

Dear POI Group,
There are some features I’d like to start using in 4.0.0 together with my existing code base that uses 3.17. What would be the best way to start testing 4.0.0 already now, e.g.,

* Build it myself and patch it into my local maven repo
* Pull a nightly build, or other pre-release version from a central Maven repo (from what I’ve seen 3.17 is the latest available in central)
* Wait for the final release. Anybody has a perspective when approximately this will be and/or what remains before release?

If you're a Java guy, pulling the nightly build shouldn't be a big deal.
(I'm not a Java guy and I had only a few issues.)
