Japanese xml file...

Hi 
    I have got xml  and xsl file templates. I want my xml file to be in
Japanese, all the text will be japanese characters except the tags. I have
downloaded the Japanese fonts. The japanese characters are supported by
browser and frontPage only and not by any other editor.Now how do I make my
XML files?
