Who we are and the website

Peoples,

Ted's e-mail gave me the push I needed to take a look at the
xml.apache.org site.

As a training step, I have update the "who we are" page to add the
current PMC members. I have not added e-mail addresses - if people want
them on there, let me know what to add and I will do so (or you can
yourself :>).

Note that the page is for all the committers in the project. If people
want to send me through there name/email (if desired) and a short (and I
mean short :>) bio, I will start a more representative list going.

If anyone has other things they want to see on the web site, now is a
good time to say....

Cheers,
	Berin

[PATCH] xml-site_news (Re: Who we are and the website)

Posted by Tetsuya Kitahata <te...@apache.org>.
Maybe, this might be better for now,

Created patches for:
 /xml-site/src/documentation/content/xdocs/news.xml
 /xml-site/targets/news.html
 (zipped: xml-site_news.zip which contains xml-site_news.xml.diff)

Please apply these ones.

-- Tetsuya (tetsuya@apache.org)

P.S. I am not sure why the 'charset=ISO-8859-1"' was replaced to
'charset=UTF-8"'... I checked out the newest xml-forrest module,
built and set "FORREST_HOME" to which it corresponds...

Okay, relieved. I have more. (I forgot to mention)

I created a patch for the news of Cocoon 2.1 R.C.1 and
Xerces 1.5.1
(I've already added these news to jakarta-site ;-)

Created patches for:
 /xml-site/src/documentation/content/xdocs/news.xml
(zipped: xml-site_news.zip which contains xml-site_news.xml.diff)

Please apply these ones. (Also, I think the "forrestbot"
should be run:
*  Log in to http://forrestbot.cocoondev.org
*  Select 'xml-site' from the drop-down list
* Click 'refresh', wait for the site to rebuild
*  Click 'publish')

P.S. I realized the structure of xml-site and forrestbot. genius ;-)

Have updated all lists to use EyeBrowse, and removed references to those
archives that no longer seemed to exist. Have left
marc.theaimsgroup.com for those lists that had it already.

Have added commons.

With thanks for pointing out.

Also, there're two "Resources" category, duplicated ;-)

Yeeeep. I have ;-)

Please confirm whether the "mailinglist" addresses
are properly described..
http://xml.apache.org/mail.html
Is there "XML Commons Mailing List"??

In this page, the links to
http://xml-archive.webweaving.org/xml-archive-announcements
etc.... is obsolete, it seems.
(Why don't you use http://xml.apache.org/mail/ ??)

(Oh, maybe this is the issue of WebService Project, too .. ;-)

P.S. Are patches allowable to this list?

All projects should be looking at using the mirrors. It really helps.

This one of the many things on my todo-list:
The download link needs to be changed (probably a new download.xml page)
to point to: http://xml.apache.org/dist and
http://www.apache.org/dist/xml until all projects have switched to the
new download loacation (see http://www.apache.org/dev/mirrors.html)
