All I need is this file: xerces-c_1_7_0.dll
Hi,
I am struggling to compile xerces on my Win XP. But all I need is only this
library because my app needs it. Could anybody just send me the file for x86
platform? I really don't want to go through the lenghty process again.

Thanks for the anwer, it helped. But now, it needs Xalan-C_1_4_0.dll. I
found Xalan_1_9.dll in C:\Windows\system32, but my app needs 1.4. Any short
avice, please .

Xalan-C 1.4 was not built as a single, monolithic library. The vendor of
your application must have built a custom version of Xalan-C that put
all of the code into one library. You might want to contact the vendor.
Another possibility is to download the Xalan-C 1.5 source archive and
use the .dsp and .dsw files from that distribution as a model for
creating one that will build Xalan-C 1.4 as a single DLL.
However, you have no idea what changes your vendor made, or how they
built the library, so there's no guarantee that will work.

No, you cannot rename any ones to xalan-c_1_4_0.dll, it's no useful.
If xalan-c distribution doesn't contain xalan-c_1_4_0.dll, Here you need to do is build Xalan1.4 as a single DLL using VC6 project AllInOne, it's just some simple steps easy to do,
The only you may need pay attention is that Xalan1.4 depends on xerces-c, so download xerces-c source and put it to xml-xerces\c\src.

But I think xerces-c_1_4.dll which don't need depends on xalan-c_1_4_0.dll on runtime.

Guys,
thanks for the answers. I don't want to ask dump questions here. But in that
package there's no library called xalan-c... the only two dll files there
are xerces-c_1_4.dll and xerces-c_1_4D.dll. When I copy these to system32, I
get the same error : this application has failed to start because
xalan-c_1_4_0.dll was not found.
I know that this is a sort of problem i shoud figure out myself, but I have
no idea how libraries work in Windows and I was also trying to googe for the
file and could not find it, so I don't know what to do? Can just somebody
send me the file?

Guys,
thanks for the answers. I don't want to ask dump questions here. But in that
package there's no library called xalan-c... the only two dll files there
are xerces-c_1_4.dll and xerces-c_1_4D.dll. When I copy these to system32, I
get the same error : this application has failed to start because
xalan-c_1_4_0.dll was not found.
I know that this is a sort of problem i shoud figure out myself, but I have

You should move Xalan_1_9.dll out C:\Windows\system32, download Xerces-C_1_4_0 from http://archive.apache.org/dist/xml/xerces-c/Xerces-C_1_4_0/xerces-c1_4_0-win32.zip
Then copy it to classpath or system32 dir.
One more thing: why the Xalan_1_9.dll is in C:\Windows\system32? do you have any script to copy it to C:\Windows\system32 or do it by handy?

You don't need to compile xerces by your own if it is hard.
