[jira] Updated: (DIRDNS-1) Complete basic directory-backed record serving

Enrique Rodriguez updated DIRDNS-1:
-----------------------------------

Summary: Complete basic directory-backed record serving (was: Complete DNS Protocol Provider)
    Fix Version: 0.3
        Version: 0.3

The original summary was too broad. We need to back the DNS protocol provider with the directory, enabling the provider to serve at least the most common DNS resource record types. Additional record types beyond SOA, A, NS, CNAME, PTR, and MX must go in additional issues for proper tracking.

> o The DNS handler needs to get wired into the ApacheDS backing store.
> o Right now the handler is stubbed out to simply echo the DNS query as the response, but it is actually decoding and encoding.
> o Some time ago Alex added the DNS schema to the ApacheDS backend.
