WebWork 1.0 RC1 released

All,

Version 1.0-RC1 of the web application framework WebWork has now been
released. This version is an almost complete rewrite and refactored
version compared with the previous v0.95 one, and includes many
important new features such as a better expression language and support
for both the Velocity template engine and XSLT.

For more extensive information about what is included in this release,
please see the examples that have been included which show most of the
available functionality and how to use it.

It can be downloaded from:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/webwork

Known issues:
This version does not yet have complete documentation, and some of the
XSLT examples does not quite work yet. Other than that it should be ok.

regards,
  Rickard

You'll get an easy-to-learn way to structure your Java code, make it
independent of the view technology (i.e. the same code can be used with
Velocity, JSP, or XSLT, or whatever you want to use), and also make it
extremely reusable within your app. Just as any other framework, but
hopefully better than any other framework (but that's just IMHO, and
everyone who has tried WebWork so far).

Having just learned a little about JSP and now trying to learn about
Velocity, would you please tell me what I would gain from downloading,
learning and using WebWork?

I'm trying to learn about these in order to build web-based applications.
