[jira] Updated: (WW-2467) Clarify the intended html doc type / html spec of "simple" theme

Musachy Barroso updated WW-2467:
--------------------------------

    Fix Version/s: (was: 2.1.3)
                   Future

I think ATM we don't have any consistency on the simple theme, and we haven't worried too much about it, so there is xhtml in some places. I am moving this to the "future" list.

> Currently specifying theme="simple" locally on struts2 ui tags or globally via struts.ui.theme=simple in struts.properites results in templates that produce xhtml markup. This causes w3c validation errors if the target specification is html 4.0 transitional.
> Ideally, there should be a theme for each, but at the very least the documentation should clearly state the indended specification and / or doc type for all themes packaged with struts
