svnadmin: Malformed representation header

I am having trouble with my svn rep.

svnadmin: Malformed representation header

repository is 640M, about 350 revisions, nothing special happened.

Some developer checked in some bigger files (about 17M each). Since
then I get this
error and I cannot update anymore...

Web access shows an errcode in the xml response file:

<D:error>
    <C:error/>
        <m:human-readable errcode="160004"> Malformed representation
header </m:human-readable>
</D:error>
