git://git.apache.org/maven-2.git can also be removed since it has been merged into the new official "maven" repo.
Due to the merge/rename of the repo I think it's best to actually *remove* the "maven"-2" and "maven-3" git git.apache.org since they really only create confusion.
(If you decide to add a new "maven" repository at git.apache.org that's ok, but I don't think that should be necessary).

Ok, in that case we need a "maven" repo at git.a.o that mirrors ttps://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/maven.git
Technically, if the github repo "github.com/apache/maven-3" is renamed, I believe the clones that exist out in the wild retain their relationship. This is a Good Thing (but not a requirement by any means)

Note that Github mirrors come from git.apache.org, not git-wip.a.o so whatever you want on github must exist on git.a.o also.
