2.18 release

Hi All,

I would like to start building the release next week. Let's try to get all
changes in by Friday.
As we are a bit late with this one, the time to 2.19 will be shorter.

Happy coding,
Hans

Hi Hans,

Thanks Hans, it looks like 2.18.0 will be a great release!
There will be a lot of major changes in 2.18.0. The more testing we can do,
the better.
