Translators needed for Wizard Templates Titles
Hello *,
Bug 110378 https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=110378 found
a total of 292 templates without localized Title, in 11 Languages (es,
eu, fr, it, ja, ko, pt-BR, sk, sv, zh-CN, zh-TW).
The affected languages are:
- Currently supported languages:
* es, Spanish
* fr, French
* it, Italian
* ja, Japanese
* pt-BR, Portugese (Brazil)
* sk, Slovak
* zh-CN, Chinese (simplified)
* zh-TW, Chinese (traditional)
- Currently unsupported languages:
* eu, Basque
* ko, Korean
* sv, Swedish
As this is a one-time translation, it makes no sense to upload the
strings in pootle; on the other hand, it makes no sense to edit each
template when this can be automatized with an AOO API application; for
these reasons I placed the string to be localized in Java properties
files and attached the files to the issue.
If you are willing to help translating the string, simply
- go to the bug https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=110378
- find your language in the list of attachments
- download the file. The file format is quite clear:
* comment lines begin with #
* string to be translated have the format
wizard.template_file_name_no_extension=English_Title
You only have to translate English_Title
- translate the strings
- attach your translation to the bug

When attaching the file, please mark the respective original file on
the "Obsoletes" list.
If you don't have a bugzilla account, just send the translation to me.
Also note that we are delivering the following languages without
localized templates:
* ar, Arabic
* fi, Finnish
* gl, Galician
Volunteers are welcome to translate the en-US original templates, they
are located in
trunk/main/extras/source/templates/wizard/[agenda|fax|letter|report]/lang/en-US

The bug is for templates that are already localized, see for example

Unfortunately, ast is not in the list, this means they have to be
localized, following http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Localization/Extras
In the case for Writer based templates, people have to translate content
inside the document; while they are at it, also translate the title and
description in File - Properties...
For Impress Layout and Presentation templates, people have to translate
title and descriptions from File - Properties... for both, and slide
names for presentation templates; I will try to find a way to put all
strings in a property file for these file - IMO it is simpler this way.

Ariel, I don't understand the file for Slovak in the Bug 110378 is
translated
(or it is translated bad ?). The Fax Wizard in OOo341 don't has blank
fields.
Templates in source code
../openoffice/trunk/main/extras/source/templates/wizard/..
looks translated too.
I missed something?

In fact, when you upload your attachement, you can mark any other
attachment as obsolete.
If you've passed by, the following steps for your reference.
1. Click the "Details" link after the attachment which you want to obsolete.
2. Click "Edit Details".
3. Tick the "Obsolete" check box and click "Submit" button.
