Status of Slide?

Hi there!

I would like to use slide (WCK) in our new project (cooperative
system framework). Unfortunately, I stumbled into a lot of problems:

* TransientLockStore buggy? - I tried the example, but there are
HeuristicMixedException all the time. I am not sure if there is a bug
in the TransientLockStore, but after switching to
TxXMLFileDescriptorsStore it works so far.

* Stringtokenzier null pointer? Don't know if thats my fault, but at
least my code is not in the backtrace

* Performance: 09:48:15,302 INFO  [STDOUT] http-127.0.0.1-8080-1, 25-
Mai-2007 09:48:13, astra, PROPFIND, 207 "Multi-Status", 1372 ms, /
steam/ - thats an empty directory. I am using RMI, so thats probably
a lot slower than File IO, but the behavior is quite odd:

09:48:14,013 INFO [STDOUT] objectExists /steam

09:48:15,270 INFO [STDOUT] isFolder /steam/a3-hampel.pdf

Is this a configuration issue? I tried to change almost everything.

What I would like to know is if someone is how stable the current SVN
version is and if there will be a new release. Is it possible to use
slide in a production environment?

Regards,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
AFAIK there are some bugs concerning the UTF-8 coding of filenames. (No
umlauts etc.) What you have to know is, that there is no way back to
Slide 2.1, because the store will be converted.

Is anyone out there using Slide 2.2pre?
Yours
 Arne
