[jira] [Created] (CAMEL-13010) Deprecate camel-script
Claus Ibsen created CAMEL-13010:
-----------------------------------
Summary: Deprecate camel-script
Key: CAMEL-13010
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-13010
Project: Camel
Issue Type: Task
Components: camel-script
Reporter: Claus Ibsen
Fix For: 3.0.0, 2.24.0
With the release of Java 11, Nashorn is deprecated, and will likely be removed from the JDK at a later time.[9] The GraalVM was suggested as a workaround.

We have already deprecated these other scripting languages like python, php etc (https://github.com/apache/camel/blob/master/components/readme.adoc#expression-languages).
And groovy also dont recommend using camel-script by groovy directly, which you can do via camel-groovy
