SVN Access Rights question

Hi,

Does anyone know what access rights are required to be able to add a
podling to SVN here: http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/

I tried adding tamaya but it came back with an error that I wasn't authorized.

John

One day I'll remember to use https... hold on.

Yes, the mkdir worked. However still adding the base site fails:

Johns-MBP:src johnament$ svn co
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/tamaya/ tamaya-site

Checked out revision 1641665.

Johns-MBP:src johnament$ cd tamaya-site/

.. create the site files ...

Johns-MBP:tamaya-site johnament$ svn add site/

A site

A site/branches

A site/trunk

A site/trunk/templates

A site/trunk/templates/single_narrative.html

A site/trunk/templates/skeleton.html

A site/trunk/lib

A site/trunk/lib/path.pm

A site/trunk/lib/view.pm

A site/trunk/content

A site/trunk/content/index.mdtext

A site/trunk/content/sitemap.html

Johns-MBP:tamaya-site johnament$ svn commit -m "Added Tamaya site."

svn: E175013: Commit failed (details follow):

svn: E175013: Access to '/repos/asf/!svn/me' forbidden

Hey John, you need to use https. You are in the correct groups so should be
able to, if you have any issues let me know

svn mkdir https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/
<http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/>tamaya

This could be the case because normally everyone on IPMC is an ASF member
hence should have permissions like this.

http://incubator.apache.org/guides/mentor.html seems to be claiming
the contrary.

I suspect that only Roman and other VPs can do this.

I should have responded back - it was because I kept copying an http
url instead of an https url.

Anyone in the incubator pmc should be able to do svn * against the
incubator repos.

I was able to add Ignite recently, but I think it's because, as Alan pointed
out later, I am a chair (VP for another project.
