self-contained PRNG in apache2.2

Does anybody know if the problem with /dev/urandom is still there in
apache/apr 2.2 or was it fixed as suggested at the end of this section?
http://perl.apache.org/docs/2.0/user/troubleshooting/troubleshooting.html#Server_Hanging_at_the_Startup

"If you can't fix the OS problem, you can rebuild Apache 2.0 with
--with-devrandom=/dev/urandom - however, that is not secure for certain
needs. Alternatively setup EGD and rebuild Apache 2.0 with --with-egd.
Apache 2.1/apr-1.1 will have a self-contained PRNG generator built-in,
which won't rely on /dev/random"

Thanks!
