ojb
hello
1. The tutorial1 from the ojb site mentions a possibility to
forward-engineer o/r mapping from existing java classes:
[excerpt from the http://db.apache.org/ojb/tutorial1.html tutorial]:

Running this target I always get a Message that a Class doesn't exist:
> java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
org/apache/ojb/broker/metadata/auto/AutoBuildDb
Has this possibility been abandoned in the current version? (I've downloaded
a current src distribution of the OJB from sourceforge).
2. Is there a possibility to generate SQL DDL from OJB ClassDescriptors? Or
is it posssible to generate torque specific xxx-schema.xml files from the
ClassDescriptors?
thaks for your help

Yes, this tool has been removed. Unfornutely the rc1 doc still mentions
it. But this is fixed in CVS HEAD.

I'd suggest to use some xslt processing for this task. I believe several
users have done so.
I think there are also some OJB specific feature in Torque, but I don't
know exactly if they could be helpful for this task.
Maybe a Torque expert could share some knowledge with us mere mortals ?
