Pearing down the Cocoon install

I downloaded the Cocoon install and was able to get it running fine.  My 
problem now is that I'm trying to weed out all the stuff I don't need 
for my web site.

What I would like to see is an install that has just enough to transform 
an xml file into html and produce Hello World.  Then I can build up 
components as I need them.

Does any one have anything like that or can you point me to some 
location that has that?
