[jira] Commented: (HBASE-3544) list all current active settings

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-3544?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12995937#comment-12995937 ]

Lars George commented on HBASE-3544:
------------------------------------

I suggested on IRC that we should add it to the UIs (master/regionserver) but also JMX for example. For the shell it would be more the current shell process and therefore limited. Or we could add a call to all servers through RPC to retrieve the config and print it locally.

I also need this so it can be exposes through REST and displayed in the HBase Explorer.

> It would be very handy to have a way to see all effective settings for a running hbase cluster (shell or webinterface) so that one can see them in one go. Similar to the jobconf overview one gets in the jobtracker of map/reduce
