How to Finalize DFS Upgrade?

How do I finalize the DFS Upgrade?  Do I just need to remove the 
previous directories or is there a script or command line option that 
will do this for me?

For anybody else who needs to know this the command is:

bin/hadoop dfsadmin -finalizeUpgrade
