Getting text color?

Is there anyway to determine which color of text is used in a cell in a spreadshet? When going to select the color it wasn't usually marked. Something you may want to consider is some sort of eyedropper tool like they have in graphic programs.

Dependent upon what kind of color detail you are seeking, this feature
already exists. If the font color of a cell has already been set, by
simply clicking on a cell the font color is shown as a colored bar below
the upper case A (font color) icon on the default Calc formatting toolbar.

If you are looking for something like RGB values or color names to be
displayed, you should file a RFE (Request For Enhancement) bug report.

There is no answer to this, as various parts of the text within a
spreadsheet cell may have different font colours. Cells have a font
colour property, but parts of text within cells can be separately
coloured, and this overrides the general cell text colour property.

If you select a cell, its font colour (but not its name) shows as a
bar under the Font Colour button in the Formatting toolbar. More
usefully, the font colour and its name show at Format | Cells... |
Font Effects | Font Colour (or right-click | Format Cells... etc.)

I don't need to consider this as what you probably seek already
exists, in the form of the Format Paintbrush in the Standard toolbar.
You can easily use this to copy cell formatting (including font
colour) from one cell to others. Any unwanted format properties
carried over could then be reset, of course.

I trust this helps.
