   I don't know if you're all aware, but there are a number of tools out there that automate some of the work of translating JUnit 4 tests to JUnit 5 ones:
   
   - https://github.com/sbrannen/junit-converters (by one of the JUnit 5 maintainers)
   - https://github.com/junit-pioneer/convert-junit4-to-junit5
   - https://github.com/openrewrite/rewrite-testing-frameworks (to be used with [OpenRewrite](https://github.com/openrewrite/rewrite)).
