Why BSF ?

I've been investigating scripting languages for my project 
and thru my investigation we've concluded that BeanShell would be 
the ideal scripting lang for our project. 

Then I came across BSF and I'm trying to find if there is any other
advantage 
( other than allowing to plug other scripting engines )
to using "Beanshell thru BSF" rather than plugging Beanshell 
directly with my application code ...

Any help would be greatly appreciated ...
