[jira] Updated: (PLUTO-72) Deployment in Release Candidate should not need Maven

The following issue has been updated:

    Updater: Craig Doremus (mailto:craig@maine.com)
       Date: Tue, 5 Oct 2004 10:07 AM
    Comment:
I have created a standalone portlet deployment environment for the binary distribution of the Release Candidate that includes an Ant build and all the necessary jars to deploy a portlet application bundled in a war file. Install this by unzipping the file into the pluto-1.0.1 directory that is created by installing the binary distribution. Also make sure that CATALINA_HOME is set to the full path to the pluto-1.0.1 directory.
    Changes:
             Attachment changed to portlet-deploy.zip

Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: PLUTO-72
Summary: Deployment in Release Candidate should not need Maven
       Type: Bug

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Major

    Project: Pluto
 Components:
             portlet container

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Craig Doremus

    Created: Sun, 3 Oct 2004 2:13 AM
    Updated: Tue, 5 Oct 2004 10:07 AM
Environment: All environments

Description:
Deployment of portlets in the Release Candidate should not require Maven. Instead, a separate 'deploy' directory should include:
1. An Ant build file to deploy individual portlets
2. A Unix shell script and a Windows batch file to deploy portlets. These scripts would invoke the Deploy class and take the path to the portlet war file as an argument.
3. A separate directory (deploy/lib) that contains jars necessary for the function of the Deploy class.
