benchmark

Did someone performed benchmarks on tomcta and jvm ?
i.e,  which jvm should I choose between IBM jdk 1.1.8 ,sun jdk 1.2.2 and
blackdown jdk 1.2.2 ?
Moreover, should I stay with Tomcat 3.0 or upgrade to 3.1 ?
