[jira] [Created] (HBASE-25512) May throw
StringIndexOutOfBoundsException when construct illegal tablename error
zhuobin zheng created HBASE-25512:
-------------------------------------
Summary: May throw StringIndexOutOfBoundsException when construct illegal tablename error
Key: HBASE-25512
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-25512
Project: HBase
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 2.4.1, 1.4.13, 1.2.12
Reporter: zhuobin zheng
When call Method:
{code:java}
// code placeholder
TableName.isLegalTableQualifierName(final byte[] qualifierName, int start, int end)
{code}
We want to construct quelifier String to print pretty error message. So we call method:
{code:java}
// code placeholder
Bytes.toString(final byte[] b, int off, int len)
Bytes.toString(qualifierName, start, end)
{code}
But the param is wrong, we shoud pass *${Length}* instead of *${end index}* to *Bytes.toString third param*.
