   I made this change in the closeDialog function and it worked for me.
   
   ````
   childView.setWebViewClient(new WebViewClient() {
                       // NB: wait for about:blank before dismissing
                       public void onPageFinished(WebView view, String url) {
                           if (dialog != null) {
                               dialog.dismiss();
                               dialog = null;
                           }
   						inAppWebView.destroy();
                       }
                   });
   ````
