Since Continuations do seem to work in Struts 2.0.1, I think we should fish or cut bait on Continuations support before tagging Struts 2.0.2. It's one thing to remove a feature between betas, and another to break features between betas. :)

I moved the continuations code out of Struts 2 and XWork 2 and into a new Struts 2 plugin. This involved creating several hooks to allow the plugin to inject its code in key locations, but it works. Or rather, it is broken as before in exactly the same way :) Since it is out of core, I'm moving this out of being a blocker issue, but leave it for 2.0.2 if anyone is interested in tackling it.

If using an xwork 2.0 snapshot, the continuation subsystem will now be initialized properly. Unfortunately, the guess example in the showcase is throwing an NPE, and due to the bytecode manipulation, it is difficult to tell where or why.

Is there still a reason to keep this open? The last post was at the end of '06, so I would think that there isn't interest in continuations support.
