Hi Luciano

According to the current state of the application ,And it has became
more legacy
application . Due to that maintainability , readability ...ect quite bit
hard though so We have to more consider more on flexibility
and maintainability of the code base because of the current state is not
good for the future of the project.

Hybrid approach helps to minimize the work needed to support different
platforms. So lets start working on it... State of the REST api ?? willing
to support more in advance :) This will be a great chance for student like
us to be a part of GSoC with Hybrid HTML5 Mobile Application using Apache
Cordova (a.k.a PhoneGap).

Hi,

Yes. Looks like an interesting idea to begin with. I have already
downloaded the photoark code several weeks ago. i was playing around with
it too. I saw a trunk dedicated with "photark-client-android-html5" which
has not been implemented yet. I guess this is what I have to develop.

Thanks!
Gayan

--------------------------------------

Hello,

I am Bhargav and am an avid mobile app developer. I have working experience with HTML5/ CSS3, Javascript, PHP which are sufficient enough to work on this project idea.

I have few doubts about this project.
1. Are we looking at the possibility of removing same images if any exist in all accounts?
2. Should the app contain multiple tiles for each website or should it have a common stream? For example if a person allows Picasa access, he gets Picasa photos added to the already existing Facebook photos on his list or should Picasa photos be displayed under a separate tag?

Regards

----------------------------------------

I don't think we need dedup, as this might be expensive if you need to calculate SHA1 from images that you don't actually have it stored locally

As for the user experience, can we have all ? :) Probably something like, when you arrive to the app, you can see a photo stream that includes all photos (order by date created or added to the album)... and then allow the user to navigate/filter specific sets of photos (either via album, tags, or something we can come up with)
