API & CLI Permission Checking

Hi all, I wanted to ask you a question, if you knew the answer. The cli and api currently in upstream doesn’t have any support for doing RBAC role checking on if a user can actually trigger a dag (if they have the perms) or things of that sort from what I see. I could be missing it but just wanted to know if that is the state currently and expected to be fixed at all - if there is any discussion

Yes, adding permission is definitely something the community is working on.
https://github.com/apache/airflow/issues/8112 is a good place to track
progress on this work and participate in the design discussion.
