[jira] Created: (SHIRO-97) Add Navigation Sidebar to Shiro's Confluence site

Add Navigation Sidebar to Shiro's Confluence site
-------------------------------------------------

                 Key: SHIRO-97
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SHIRO-97
             Project: Shiro
          Issue Type: Task
            Reporter: Alex Salazar
            Priority: Minor

In order to make navigation easier for new users, a navigation sidebar should be added to the site with all the important links.

This requires space_admin priviledges on Confluence.

Here are the directions on how to do it. The pagetree page in the directions should be replaced with the NavColumn page in shiro.

Hi Alex,

I've given you space admin on SHIRO.

Thanks for your contributions.

I applied the left hand navigation layout in Confluence and created the menu but for some reason it only shows up in http://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/SHIRO/Index

Or when I click on Index from within the Browse Spaces page.

But when I visit http://cwiki.apache.org/SHIRO it's the original page without the new layout.

Does anyone have any idea why this happening? I've checked the confluence user guide and the forums but couldn't find anything related to this.

All the necessary pages have already been created. The only work needed is to move the NavColumn page to space root and create/apply the appropriate space template/layout.
