SSL Issue with MSIE but not Mozilla/Netscape

Running Tomcat 4.1.24 with SSL enabled.
Been trying to figure out why when data served is more than a page long, 
there is a 60 second delay before it is displayed. If I do not user SSL 
everything is perfect.
This issue only happens with MSIE, not with Netscape or Mozilla and I'll 
give you one guess on which one is the company standard.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
