[jira] [Created] (DIRSERVER-2358) Ability to authenticate a user by `uid' without a technical user
Oleksandr Andreiev created DIRSERVER-2358:
---------------------------------------------
Summary: Ability to authenticate a user by `uid' without a technical user
Key: DIRSERVER-2358
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-2358
Project: Directory ApacheDS
Issue Type: Wish
Components: authn
Affects Versions: 2.0.0.AM26
Reporter: Oleksandr Andreiev
Hello,
It would be great to have ability to authenticate a user by `uid` without extra technical user. AD provides this feature. Is there a way to implement it for ApacheDS?
We also can use anonymous authentication, but it's not very secure thing.
Thank you,
Alex
