[jira] [Commented] (XERCESJ-1736) Publish xercesImpl 2.12.2 xml schema 1.1 to Maven Central

Mukul Gandhi commented on XERCESJ-1736:
---------------------------------------

I think that, XercesJ's XML Schema 1.1 distribution is quite different than the "basic" version you've published. The XML Schema 1.1's xercesImpl.jar is very different than that of the "basic" version.

The XercesJ's XML Schema 1.1 distribution consists of following jars,
xercesImpl.jar
cupv10k-runtime.jar
icu4j.jar
org.eclipse.wst.xml.xpath2.processor_1.2.1.jar (this also depends on xercesImpl.jar listed above)
resolver.jar (can be reused from the basic version)
serializer.jar (can be reused from the basic version)
xml-apis.jar (can be reused from the basic version)

> currently only the "basic" version is published.
> Might be good to publish the xml schema 1.1 too but what doe sit implies? Should it be just a different classifier? or a different groupid/artifactid? which ones?
> What is the exact difference, in which case should users use one or the other?
