Standalone POM Library (Take 2)

I think my original post ( http://tinyurl.com/6kxak ) may have gotten
lost is a pile of JIRA and commit e-mails :-)  Brett had mentioned in an
ant-dev thread ( http://tinyurl.com/6rcxr ) that there was work being
done on a standalone POM library.

I'd be very interested in the details of that library in conjunction
with some working I'm doing for JAM ( http://javagen.sf.net/ ).  Could
anyone bring me up to speed?  Is there any way I could pitch in and
help?

Kyle,

Sorry I had meant to reply, but have been busy. maven-model is 
definitely what you are after. We'll be integrating that into Maven 1.1 
and beyond, so you can be guaranteed identical behaviour if you use it. 
Watch the JIRA issue if are interested in its progress.
