[jira] [Created] (CAMEL-22136) camel-rest - Allow to use variables in {xxx} placeholder syntax
Claus Ibsen created CAMEL-22136:
-----------------------------------
Summary: camel-rest - Allow to use variables in {xxx} placeholder syntax
Key: CAMEL-22136
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-22136
Project: Camel
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: rest
Reporter: Claus Ibsen
Fix For: 4.x
[#camel > toD: how to use a root uri that includes a path|https://camel.zulipchat.com/#narrow/channel/257298-camel/topic/toD.3A.20how.20to.20use.20a.20root.20uri.20that.20includes.20a.20path/with/522197833]
Today the \{xxx} placeholders are taking from headers. But you may want to use variables as they are better for this as they are not part of the message payload (body + headers).
Also in the past you would use exchange properties. But variables are better to use today.
