OpenOffice locked up
I recently upgraded to a new Lenovo laptop with Windows 11. I also

Looks like a case for Ctrl-Alt-Del all together (Unless you use Sticky Keys)

The link provides overly complicated instructions. Ctrl+Alt+Del,
choose process and 'end task'. Seems more straightforward.
I wonder how much gooing to Best Buy cost in gas, technician's
charges? Not to mention time.
Not a big fan of Windows 11 but this kind of foul-up happens sometimes
with OpenOffice, quite rare though, in my experience. (I don't use
Quickstarter which may, I think, sometimes cause OO to get stuck.)

I don't have Windows 11, but here is "How To Know Which Process Is Using a
File in Windows 11?" It uses Resource Manager natively, or something which
you can download called 'Handle'. With either one, you can kill the
processes you want to kill.

Go to the Start Menu in Windows - tell us if you don't know what this
is. And note it's part of Windows, not of OpenOffice.
Note there's probably a simpler way to do the following but I'm not
mainly a Windows user and this should work (first read through these
instructions before executing any of them):
(0) to shut down OpenOffice, enter 'ctl + alt + delete' keys at once,
