Ladies and Gentlemen, start writing your proposals. The Call For Papers for
ApacheCon North America 2014 is now open, and is open until February 1st,
2014. Note that we are on a very short timeline this year, so don't assume
that we'll extend the CFP, just because we've done so every time before.

Do those of you who mentioned they would like to see some progress and
visibility for DeviceMap in 2014 have fragments or a whole abstract to
offer for ACUS?
Unless others are in the US or would be there in April for some reason, I
would give it a try since Bertrand said he couldn't go there this time. I
am also EG member of the Portal 3 EG which has Pluto as its RI, so maybe
there's a second proposal I could be involved if the Spec Lead or US based
EG members wish to do so...

After at least one ApacheCon Europe was held in Amsterdam a few years ago,
note, this years ApacheCon US will be in Colorado, a state that recently
got almost the same level of freedom and likely opened its first coffee
shops by now, too (for those who fancy this kind of "recreational use"[?])

Do we have somebody in America contributing to DM at a regular basis?
I see, this is already in April. A little soon. Also Easter holidays take
at least a week out of April workwise, so for external consultants like
myself I need to be "greedy" with work days a bit.
I assume there are no other corporate contributors who get paid to do that
kind of stuff?
