Updgrading Avalon Container inside Cocoon 2.1.6

Hi,

I am trying to use the new avalon libs (http://people.apache.org/~jheymans/)
inside Cocoon 2.1.6

I have a ClassCastEx during Cocoon Servlet initialization, does anyone tried
to do the same? otherwise anyone suggest to upgrade to the latest Cocoon
2.1.8?

ClassCastException: Cannot cast
org.apache.cocoon.components.CocoonComponentManager (id=1948) to
org.apache.avalon.framework.component.Component
