Do not display all my errors in the flow

Hi all,

I have a process which make an error report (using xinclude).
Precisely, I upload files from a directory and I check their validity (DTD).

I would like to stop the process (in order to not load all the errors) 
if there are too many wrong documents and then display only the first 20 
errors (for example).

In which way can I do that ?
