Drop "Commercial Support" page from www/ ?

The subject pretty much says it all, but I propose removing the
commercial support page from s.t.o. Such groups are now pretty common
and giving preferential treatment to a small subset doesn't seem very
appropriate. $FAVORITE_SEARCH_ENGINE does a much better job of
helping people find commercial Subversion support than we could hope to.

Thoughts?

As far as visitors to the web site are concerned, the info is gone.
That's what "deleted" means. You and I know it's still retrievable from
our repository but that's not the point.

We won't be deleting it, just removing the list from HEAD. Putting a
placeholder to suggest an appropriate search engine seems fine.

Such as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_that_uses_Subversion ?

As one of the people on the list, I'm -0.5 on removing it :)

If we recommend a particular URL, that just gets us right back where we
started (unless we have some reason to believe that the way the list is
maintained at that URL is particularly fair-minded or something). I
think recommending a search is fine.

As one of the people on the current list, +1 on removing it :-).

It seems an inappropriate page now to keep in our source tree: the
developers are not the people best placed to maintain such a list. Much
better on a Wiki or some such; might even be appropriate for a Wikipedia
article, perhaps. But deleting it without first copying the content to
such an on-line resource seems a bit of a disservice to the users. It
would be good to have a suggested link in its place: "If you are looking
for support services, we recommend you use your favourite search engine,
or you could try the list at <URL>."

In the same vein, it is time to move our "Other software that uses
Subversion" section off to some Wiki.

As a complete outsider I think it's fair enough to give preferential
treatment to collab.net, because they pay for the servers, and to companies
where you're getting support from full-committers or maybe any committer.
After all they keep the project going. I don't know if that matches the
current list.
