[jira] [Created] (DRILL-4878) Skip n lines
Charles Givre created DRILL-4878:
------------------------------------
Summary: Skip n lines
Key: DRILL-4878
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DRILL-4878
Project: Apache Drill
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Storage - Text & CSV
Reporter: Charles Givre
Priority: Minor
I've been working on some data with Drill and the problem I've been running into is that the data is generated by a system which prepends several lines of rubbish before the delimited data actually starts.
This doesn't seem like it would be that difficult, but it would be extremely useful if there was a configuration option to tell Drill to skip the first N lines of a file. I saw that there are already the 'skipFirstLine' as well as the comment character, but neither of these options will work for me in this case.
Thanks
