[Bug 57012] New: Apache 2.4.10 Win32 Installation Problem
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=57012
Bug ID: 57012
Summary: Apache 2.4.10 Win32 Installation Problem
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.4.10
Hardware: PC
Status: NEW
Severity: blocker
Priority: P2
Component: Win32 MSI Installer
Assignee: bugs@httpd.apache.org
Reporter: rohansarker@hotmail.com
Dear Manager / Reviewer,
I downloaded Apache 2.4.10 Win32 from the link:
http://www.apachelounge.com/download/
I am using DELL Vostro Laptop with Windows 7 (32 Bit OS) with Intel Core i5
Processor.
My Apache Directory Structure is:
C:\Apache\Apache24
I tried to install Apache HTTP Server by the following commands in command
prompt:
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
C:\Users\Dell>cd..
C:\Users>cd..
C:\>cd Apache
C:\Apache>cd Apache24
C:\Apache\Apache24>httpd -k install
'httpd' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
C:\Apache\Apache24>
I tried to search the file httpd.conf in C: and I found no results.
Please let me know if there is any bug in the installer for Windows 7 (32 Bit).
Thank you.

Dear Reviewer / Manager,
Thank you for your comments. I verified now and found that:
httpd.exe should then be located in:
C:\Apache\Apache24\bin
httpd.conf should be located in:
C:\Apache\Apache24\conf
I try to install with two ways as given in command prompt:
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
C:\Users\Dell>cd..
C:\Users>cd..
C:\>cd Apache
C:\Apache>cd Apache24
C:\Apache\Apache24>cd bin
C:\Apache\Apache24\bin>httpd -k install
Error: The program can't start because MSVCR110.dll is missing from your
computer. Try reinsgtalling the program to fix this problem.
C:\Apache\Apache24\bin>cd..
C:\Apache\Apache24>cd conf
C:\Apache\Apache24\conf>httpd -k install
'httpd' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
C:\Apache\Apache24\conf>
But I failed. Please help me in installing Apache HTTP Server. I am so
depressed. I am suffering from 1st Stage Parkinson from 2010.

Hi,
you should contact directly "Apache Lounge" for support for binaries build and
maintained by them.
However, the file you have downloaded should be a zip file. You should have
un-zipped it on your local (apparently in C:\Apache\Apache24)
httpd.exe should then be located in:
C:\Apache\Apache24\bin
httpd.conf should be located in:
C:\Apache\Apache24\conf
Best regards
