[jira] Commented: (ADDR-10) Update to 2005/08 spec

Thomas Leonard commented on ADDR-10:
------------------------------------

Our policy is to require the copyright headers, as otherwise people won't know that we have copyright in the files. Without the extra header, it would say that Apache owns the complete copyright, whereas we are only granting you a license, as I understand it. I'm not a legal expert, and I'll have to check with the people here who are authorised to make these decisions.

What is the normal way of handling this situation? Would it be acceptable if we just used a shorter header?

> This patch upgrades Apache Addressing's support to the Aug-2005 version of the WS-Addressing spec. Although long, it largely consists of renaming referenceProperties to referenceParameters.
> Most of this work was done by Ananth Krishna.
> We have not tested for interop with other implementations.
