Growth limitations & performance
Hello everyone:
I'm doing some research regarding performance and growth limitations of
Apache Jackrabbit <http://jackrabbit.apache.org/jcr/index.html> and need
help answering the following questions based on your experience:
Which volumes (number of documents, single document size, total
repository size) can Apache Jackrabbit
<http://jackrabbit.apache.org/jcr/index.html> handle with which
limitations (performance degradation, limited functionality)?
Will it for instance be able to handle 30,000 1MB documents daily?
How big can the total repository get before measures have to be taken?
What are the best practices when configuring a repository of such a size?
How does the persistence manager choice (FS vs DB) influence this?
Up to which volumes is content-search still practicable?
Any reference would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance,
-César
