XTile Broken on Java 1.5

I have a Tapestry 3 application that contains two
XTile AJAX components running on Java 1.4.

We are trying to upgrade all of our Tapestry 3.0
applications from Java 1.4 to 1.5. When testing this
conversion, both of these components no longer work
when running on Java 1.5.

Does anyone have any experience trying to run Tapestry
3/XTile on Java 1.5? Has anyone seen these problems?

It turns out that the problem was due to not having
"serializer.jar" in the classpath. XTile uses Xalan
and the Xalan code threw a ClassNotFoundException on
the org/apache/xml/serializer/TreeWalker class when
running on Java 1.5.
