Remotely controlled logging

Hi..

	I'm using PropertyConfigurator.configureAndWatch(....) to provide
runtime control of logging settings.

	I'm also using the boolean methods isDebugEnabled() etc... to avoid
performance penalties when logging is OFF....

		if (cat.isDebugEnabled()){
			cat.debug("My log string");
		}

	I have two processes running on two separate machines sending
logging via a SocketAppender to a SimpleSocketServer located on a third
machine.

	I would like to be able to control ALL logging from the third
machine .. the logging server.... change priorities, turn logging on and off
etc...without losing boolean control of performance.

	If I use a SocketServer with separate config files on the server for
each remote process I won't have configureAndWatch(...) control in order to
be able to reconfigure logging during the run ... and I won't be able to
avoid runtime penalties at the remote locations because the booleans
isDebugEnabled(...) etc won't have any meaning if the remote server is
handling the config.

	Is there any easy built-in way that I missed to get this remote
control I need?

Thanks in Advance, Stephen
