Jmeter won't report latecies less than 15 msec

Hello Everyone,

Any idea what is the minimum latency jmeter can measure. During my
performance analysis, I see that minimum latency reported by jmeter is 15
msec, latencies in the range of 1-15 msec are reported as 0 msec, not the
actual latency.

Please let me know if anyone else ran into this issue and how did you solve
it. Is there some changes that need to be done in jmeter.properties file or
somewhere else.

Thanks.

The resolution varies somewhat between versions of Java and the OS,
and is not down to JMeter.

Java 1.5 has a higher resolution interval timer, and code has been
added to JMeter which will make use of this when running on Java 1.5.
This will be available in the next release of JMeter.

Having said this, a resolution of 10-20 milliseconds for latency is
surely good enough for almost all purposes.
